The Third Person of the Trinity

"When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will declare to you the things that are to come." John 16:13 ESV

We see here Jesus referring to Holy Spirit as "he" It is important to rememebr that Holy Spirit is not an "it" he is a person! He is the thrird person of the trinity. He can be grieved, quenched, and he is separate, but one. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 3, but the same.

It is amazing to consider that Jesus tells his disciples that it is "bettter" for him to go away so that Holy Spirit can come. This must have been wild for someone like Peter to hear, becasue only a short amount of time had passsed since he was walking on wate Jesus! He must have been thinking - Better than that?

That is the amazing miracle of Holy Spirit coming to dwell in us and work through us. God would choose to live in his creation -You! Practice today speaking to Holy Spirit as a person! Amazing things happen when we realize he is with us and in us and not an "it" and a power we can use, but a person who wants to use us as vessels to do his amazing work.
